Show Hotel The show hotel is
the LaQuinta Inn & Suites, 1 South 666, Midwest Road, Oakbrook
Terrace, IL 60181. Exhibitors associated with the show MUST book
online using a promotional code. The code will give you 10% off
the cheapest rate online AS OF THE DATE YOU REGISTER so, book
early and save more! To book the hotel, go to www.LQ.com and
enter the promotion code BRIGHT to get the special cat show
rate. This will also allow you to use other discounts such as
AAA Discount, etc., in addition to the cat show discount. NOTE:
If you call the hotel directly, you are NOT eligible for the cat
show rate. Prairie State Cat Club has elected to use the Hotel
Room Inspection Procedures for exhibitors who lodge at the
LaQuinta Inn & Suites, using the club’s group booking. Entry in
this show, and lodging at the LaQuinta Inn & Suites using the
club’s group booking, shall constitute an acknowledgement by and
consent of the exhibitor to these procedures. TICA Standing Rule
903.6 governing Hotel Room Inspections shall apply, and
exhibitors may be required to sign a form upon check-in agreeing
to the procedure. The hotel DOES NOT have shuttle service to and
from O’Hare International Airport or to the show hall. Alternate
pet-friendly hotel in the area is the Red Roof Inn, 1698 Diehl
Road, Naperville IL 60563. (630) 369.2500. Hotel has restaurant
inside.
Show Hall
The show hall is at The DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 W.
Manchester Road, Buildings 2 and 3, Wheaton IL, 60187. The
Fairgrounds are approximately 30 miles west of O’Hare
International Airport. It is approximately 10 miles from the
show hotel. Directions to the Show Hall and the Show Hotel will
be sent with your confirmation.
Show Hours Check-in 7:30 -
8:30 AM. Judging will start promptly at 9 AM both days. Hours
are 9 AM to 5 PM. No one may leave early without the written
permission of the Show Manager, or you may forfeit wins and
finals.
Health Info This is a
non-vetted show. All cats and kittens must be current on
vaccinations, and free of all parasites, fungus, and illness.
Any cat or kitten from a household where there has been fungus,
parasites, or any contagious or infectious illness within 21
days prior to the opening date of the show is ineligible for
entry. Cats showing any sign of illness, parasites or fungus
will not be permitted in the show hall. All cats or kittens
accompanying said cat(s) will also be dismissed from the show
hall. Cats which are pregnant or lactating will be disqualified.
Nails, front and rear, must be clipped prior to judging.
Show Rules This show is
licensed and sanctioned by The International Cat Association (TICA)
and is subject to their show rules and standards (available from
the Executive Office, PO Box 2684, Harlingen TX 78551, or at
http://www.tica.org). Entries must be submitted on an official
TICA entry form. No kittens under three months of age will be
permitted in the show hall - you must have proof of age if
asked. Kittens entered in the show must be at least four months
of age on the first day of the show. All Household Pets, eight
months and older, must be spayed or neutered. Declawed cats may
be shown. No sales cage will be permitted without an entry in
the show. No vending is permitted from your benching area. Cats
may not be left in the show hall overnight, nor may cats be kept
under the benching area. TICA Show Rules will be strictly
enforced.
Show Services The Club will
provide litter. You must bring your own litter pans, cat food
and dishes. People food will be available.
Cage Sizes The cage size is
approximately 22" x 22" x 22" for a single cage. A single cage
is provided with your entry. A double cage is approximately 22"
x 22" x 45". All cages are assigned; we will try to honor your
benching request. No one may change their benching assignment
per order of the Show Management. Cages must be covered on all
three sides, top and bottom. Only one cat or two kittens are
permitted per single cage.
Junior Exhibitor Prairie
State Cat Club is pleased to recognize our Junior Exhibitor
participants and extend a special entry fee rate of 50% off the
regular entry fee price for each entry registered in their name
excluding any additional fees such as, but not limited to,
grooming space, extra half cage, etc. Junior Exhibitors must be
currently entered in the TICA Junior Exhibitor Program and enter
their Junior Exhibitor number on the entry form.
Awards Awards will provided
in accordance with TICA Show Rules. We do have Supreme Rosettes
- if your cat Supremes at our show, please see a member of the
show committee for your rosette.
Clerks are needed! Please contact the Entry Clerk. Fees will be
paid according to time spent as clerk at the show, and
preference will be given to TICA licensed clerks.
Raffle Table Prairie State
Cat Club takes pride in the efforts that go into our raffle
table. For this reason we will enforce our raffle rules. Raffle
rules will be displayed on the raffle tables for review. Any
exhibitor not following raffle rules may be asked to leave the
show and may be barred from future Prairie State raffles.
Exhibitors will also be responsible for their guests/children
who participate in the raffle.
Prairie State Cat Club, its individual members, The DuPage
County Fairgrounds and TICA will not be held
liable for any loss or accident to spectators, cats, exhibitors,
or their personal property. |
