In Loving Memory
This site is dedicated to Burneyfalls Chinook of Shastacoons
(1997-2006)
Chinook was our
first Maine Coon. He taught us the wonder and joy of these beautiful
amazing cats. He was a true Gentle Giant. Chinook was our great
kitten teacher. He would discipline kittens, wash their faces,
kitten sit and share his bed with kittens while they learned how to
be the perfect kittens. We believe Chinook lives on in all the
hearts and souls of thekittens of Shstacoons. We lost Chinook in
February 2006 after an 18 month battle with Idiopathic Chylothorax.
Thank you to Drs. Tom and Sue, Dr.Joy and all the special people at
Gateway Animal Hospital in Anderson, California. With their help and
tender care we were able to have just a little more time with our
Chinook.
When people came to visit they think he
looked like a small bear! He was our primary "kitten teachers". It was
amazing to see this huge cat tenderly wash a kitten's face or sleep
with one cuddled up in his paws.
